The California monkeyflower doesn't wait for perfect conditions. It blooms in creek beds and canyon walls, in the dry margins where nothing else bothers.  Vivid, feminine, entirely unbothered by the hard ground beneath it. We named this brand for that flower. And for the woman who wears it.

How Monkey Flower began.

Monkey Flower began the way most beautiful things do: sideways. After nearly fifteen years building brands for some of the world's largest wine companies, the woman behind this one needed to make something with her own hands. Not a strategy. Not a deck. Something real, something she could hold.

She tried beading. Then wire. Then found herself at a wine country estate sale, holding a strand of dusty rose quartz that had been sitting in a box for forty years, wondering what it might become. That question became everything.

What started as a creative outlet became a craft. Learning to wrap wire, form her own findings, create closures by hand. And when the cost of pearls and gemstones sent her to thrift stores and estate sales, she discovered something she hadn't expected: the materials with a past life were always the most beautiful ones.

How every piece is made.

Every Monkey Flower piece starts with tarnish resistant copper wire - hypoallergenic, warm to the touch, and worked entirely by hand. Around that wire we set materials that have lived before: reclaimed gemstones, rescued freshwater pearls, vintage glass beads thrifted from estate sales, donated collections, and the occasional extraordinary find at a wine country shop.
 
No two pieces are identical. The materials won't allow it. That's exactly the point. Each stone carries its own color history, each bead its own provenance. Wire-wrapped by hand in California, finished with handmade closures and findings, and made to be worn every single day.
